Honda Civic Hybrid
__Title__a
They’re all close in price and all are so-called “mild hybrids,” meaning they won’t run solely on electric. The electric motor on board will start the internal combustion (IC) engine after it’s been in “auto shut down” mode in traffic, and gives the IC engine a boost when swift acceleration is called for.The latter function allows the Civic to have a smaller gas engine (1.3 litre) than the regular Civic (1.8 litre). The effective, combined horsepower is rated at 110, and it’s fed to the front wheels via a CVT automatic. Transport Canada says the car has a fuel efficiency rating of 4.7 litre/100 km city, 4.3 highway. Built on a high-rigidity unit-body platform, the Civic is designed to deliver precise, sharp and refined handling performance with its fully-independent MacPherson strut front suspension and multi-link rear suspension.
