LAP OF LUXURY
You can now truly be the guy in Dubai. Known as the world’s first seven-star hotel, The Burj Al Arab Hotel offers visitors a chance to not only rub elbows with world leaders and Hollywood’s finest, but live like one as well. How does being chauffeured around in a private Rolls Royce, BMW or helicopter sound to you? How about a brigade of butlers, two-storey-high aquariums and dancing laser fountains? The all-suite hotel is truly the best (and tallest) the world has to offer, and because of this, you can expect to pay handsomely to enjoy this royal treatment. A family of four can expect to shell out about $19,000 for a two-day stay … that does not include airfare.
SUN LOVERS
Grand Cayman is home to one of the world’s greatest attractions, Seven Mile Beach – a long crescent of coral sand on the western shore. While Grand Cayman may not be a hidden jewel, you may be surprised by some of the amenities offered on the island. You can spend a week or more sipping frozen drinks, or you can visit the island’s many attractions – including its forest reserve or surf park. You can even get deeper, so to speak, during a submarine tour, swim with stingrays or enjoy a closer look at the island’s rich history. Expect to pay $2,500 per person for the four-star treatment. Of course you can also pay a little more to enjoy a five-star holiday.
EXOTIC
With near perfect weather and chosen as the location to film The Blue Lagoon, Turtle Island, Fiji, is a little piece of heaven found on earth. Whether you enjoy a gourmet picnic on your own private beach or an intimate seaside dinner under the moon, the island’s ambience and amenities cater to couples (Turtle Island accommodates only 14 couples at any given time). Once you’re finished exploring the island on horseback, bike or foot, sailing, scuba diving or sailing, lay back and enjoy a sensual massage or dinner on a private pontoon. Look to spend out about $2,100 per couple per night.
